Our guide was not only friendly and knowledgeable, but she also shared hidden gems and fascinating local stories along the way.

Meeting Point For The Tour

Is Naples safe for food tours?

Yes! Naples’ historic center is lively and welcoming, especially during the day and early evening.

Our guide made us feel safe and comfortable throughout.

As always, keep an eye on your belongings and follow your guide’s advice.

What is special about pizza in Naples?

Naples is the ‘birthplace of Italian pizza’.

Neapolitan pizza is famous for its thin, puffy crust and simple, high-quality ingredients like San Marzano tomatoes and fresh mozzarella.

My favorite pizza is the buffalino, including fresh basil, ripe tomatoes, and buffalino (creamy, and better tasting version, similar to mozzarella).

Eating pizza here is a must-do experience, and you’ll taste the difference in every bite.

Can you do a Naples street food tour as a vegetarian?

Definitely! My boyfriend and I both enjoyed the tour, and as a vegetarian, I had plenty of tasty options.

Final Thoughts About A Street Food Tour Through Naples

If you’re planning to join a Naples street food tour, we highly recommend reading our Naples in a day itinerary

Before our food tour, we did the Naples Underground Tour which is a fun journey through ancient tunnels and cisterns right beneath the city streets.

The meeting point for the underground tour is just a short walk from where most street food tours begin, making it easy to combine both experiences in a single day.

Beyond the city center, some of our other highlights in Naples included visiting Herculaneum and Pompeii, and a guided day trip from Naples, including climbing Mount Vesuvius, where you’ll get breathtaking views over the Bay of Naples.

Naples truly has something for every traveler, but for us, the street food tour was the tastiest way to experience the city’s culture and people.

We hope our review helps you plan your own delicious adventure in Italy’s food capital!

Don’t forget to book the street food tour in Naples.

You won’t regret it. I would do it again anytime.
